Aventura is located 12 miles north of Miami, 12 miles south of Fort Lauderdale and 1 mile west of the Atlantic Ocean.  These facts are a part of the reason why the Aventura real estate market is has grown so rapidly over the past several years.

In recent years, the city has adopted several initiatives aimed at reinforcing a strong sense of community.  With the building of the first Charter School in 2003, the new Community Recreation Center, Veterans Park and Waterways Park Expansion, the City continues ot grow and progress.
